Description
Tropical Pond: a wall art print where I used a traditional watercolor technique creating this scene. This technique uses subtle brush strokes and colors creating a soft, warm scene. This particular wall art print depicts a pond on the grounds of a Mexican Resort.
The setting is Mazatlan, Mexico located on the mainland across from the southern most tip of the Baja California peninsula. Mazatlan is home to numerous resorts as part of what is called the Mexican Riviera. Rich in history it was originally settled by the Spanish, but also became home to a German population that helped develop the town into a thriving seaport. It also hosts an old central town area that strongly resembles the French Quarters of New Orleans.
