The Old Iowa Hay Barn: a wall art print created using a gothic oil technique of an old hay barn.
This technique focuses on bold brush strokes and warm earth tones creating an old world look. The viewpoint of the art print is looking at the front of the hay barn with the barn doors wide open.
The look is traditional rural Iowa farms. The setting is near the Amana Colonies in Eastern Iowa during the month of February. Farming is a staple for this region and the architecture of farms and barns lend themselves well to wall art prints.
When you are considering an art print, the interior design of the room comes into play and the look you are going for with any given print comes into the decision process. This particular style of wall art print works best in a traditional room dcor. However, an influencing factor is the framing and matting style, which can dictate what dcor the final piece will look good in versus just the style of the art print by itself.

About Kirt Tisdale
I have been creating art since I can remember. I have been blessed with having my work featured in various venues. What drives me is the beauty in the world with which we live. I remember as a kid looking up at the clouds and watching them change shape...if they could only stay in one shape long enough for me to enjoy and appreciate them....but that's not how it works. What I can do though is take a moment and freeze it. The beauty around us needs to be savored, contemplated and appreciated. Good art invokes an emotional response either through the scene depicted or the colors used. I hope my work invokes the same in you.
