Description
Giraffe In Pastel is a wall art print I created using a colored pencil and chalk technique. This technique uses strong drawing lines with softer chalk strokes filling in. The colors are in pastels, giving it a bold modern look.
The setting is the Los Angeles Zoo. When I came across a group of giraffes, I knew I wanted to create an art print that would be soft in colors, but still depict the strength and elegance of this animal.
When considering an art print, the interior design of the room comes into play and the look you are going for with any given print comes into the decision process. An influencing factor is the framing and matting style, which can dictate what décor the final piece will look good in versus just the style of the art print.
