Description
Flintstones Bedrock Grocery Store - was created using a fauvism (Fauvism: a style of painting with vivid expressionistic and non-naturalistic use of color that flourished in Paris from 1905) technique of a grocery store. This technique uses abstract shapes and variations of colors to create a unique look.
The setting is a tourist attraction in northern Arizona of the fictitious town of Bedrock made famous by the Flintstones cartoon. This attraction is located south of the Grand Canyon and inspired me to recreate some of the buildings I saw using an abstract and surreal approach, thus the fauvism style.

Kirt this is so cool. Instantly reminds me of the Flintstone's house, if you're old enough. Excellent eye catching color contrasts. A fun image. Hang it up!
