"Beacon Hill" is a wall art print done in a gothic oil technique of a street in the Beacon Hill area of Boston. This technique focuses on bold brush strokes and earth tone colors creating an old world look. The setting is Boston, famous for its architecture and preservation of colonial history. The area is rich in the look of modern day America mixed with the colonial heritage and the role it played in the American Revolution. In the historical districts, the charm and original architecture are kept looking almost as they did over 200 years ago. This particular print represents the streets within the Beacon Hill district just north of the Boston Common and Public Gardens. I loved the narrowness of the streets true to their original design. About Kirt Tisdale
I have been creating art since I can remember. I have been blessed with having my work featured in various venues. What drives me is the beauty in the world with which we live. I remember as a kid looking up at the clouds and watching them change shape...if they could only stay in one shape long enough for me to enjoy and appreciate them....but that's not how it works. What I can do though is take a moment and freeze it. The beauty around us needs to be savored, contemplated and appreciated. Good art invokes an emotional response either through the scene depicted or the colors used. I hope my work invokes the same in you.
