Artist's Description

"Alamo Adobe" is a sepia tone photographic wall art print of an adobe building in the Alamo compound. The Alamo is right off the River Walk in San Antonio. I hadn't been there since I was a kid and looked at it from a totally different perspective. As a photographer, I love the adobe architecture of that period and thought this structure would make an interesting shot. I used a sepia tone finish on the photograph for that old rustic look. The sepia brown tones originated with film photography as part of the process to develop the prints in the 1800's. Today, we can recreate that same vintage look digitally. This type of wall art print lends itself to a rustic or old vintage type of interior decoration. Even with that said, I have seen this style used in more modern decor that had earth tone elements to it. The way a print is matted and framed can change the entire look of the print. About Kirt Tisdale

Kirt Tisdale

I have been creating art since I can remember. I have been blessed with having my work featured in various venues. What drives me is the beauty in the world with which we live. I remember as a kid looking up at the clouds and watching them change shape...if they could only stay in one shape long enough for me to enjoy and appreciate them....but that's not how it works. What I can do though is take a moment and freeze it. The beauty around us needs to be savored, contemplated and appreciated. Good art invokes an emotional response either through the scene depicted or the colors used. I hope my work invokes the same in you. For additional prints, please visit my main gallery:
